GRANDE PRAIRIE, Alta, - (January 4, 2024) Redberry Restaurants (“Redberry”) is pleased to announce the Grand Opening of their first Taco Bell restaurant in the province of Alberta. The restaurant is located at 11509 Westgate Drive, Grand Prairie. It’s the only Taco Bell in Grande Prairie, brought back by popular demand. This will be Redberry’s 22nd Taco Bell unit, with plans to open an additional five Taco Bell units in 2024.
“We are thrilled to start this journey in Alberta,” said Ken Otto, Chief Executive Officer of Redberry Restaurants. “We’re excited to offer Albertans the unique Redberry Taco Bell experience through exceptional customer service and modern restaurant aesthetics.”
This newest restaurant is just one of three Taco Bell restaurants set to open in Alberta this month. The second location will be at 6603, 51st Street in Cold Lake. The third Albertan location will be at 3431 Gateway Boulevard in Edmonton. These three Taco Bells will all open within the month of January 2024 and represent the first Redberry-owned and operated Taco Bell locations in the province of Alberta.
“This is our first of five new Taco Bell restaurants planned for Alberta in 2024,” said Steve Pereira, Director of Redberry Taco Bell Operations. “We are thrilled to introduce such an iconic brand to these close-knit communities while also producing over 100 jobs to help sustain them.”
Guests will be able to enjoy their meal dining-in and ordering for delivery through UberEats, DoorDash, SkiptheDishes or through the mobile Taco Bell App. The location will include features to enhance customer experience, including the latest restaurant technology, such as digital Drive-Thru Menu boards and Kiosks.
In 2024, Redberry will develop a total of 26 new Taco Bells restaurants across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario. This will bring their year-end Taco Bell store count to 47units.
Redberry has committed to build over 200 more Taco Bell locations across Canada in the next few years, providing more than 4,000 job opportunities.
